In view of the recent surge in COVID cases observed in countries outside India, the Meghalaya Government has advised the general public to wear face mask in crowded indoor places and adopt good hand hygiene practices.

According to a health advisory issued by Meghalaya Health and Family Welfare Principal Secretary, the Government asserted there is no reason for any panic but in view of the festive season, it is hereby advised that the general public may adhere to COVID appropriate behaviour.

Travellers who have come from outside of the country are advised to carefully monitor their symptoms for at least 7(seven) days from their time of arrival in to the State.

On any suspicion of COVID symptoms like fever, cough, sore throat, they are encouraged to immediate test themselves for COVID in any of the testing facilities across the State.
