    Meghalaya Government has permitted additional activities in the state from September 20.

    As per the order, opening of Border Haats may be permitted by the respective Deputy Commissioners based on local situation.

    Universities and College Hostels are permitted to re-open subject to prior permission of the respective Deputy Commissioners / SDO (Civil) and in compliance with the SOP being issued by Education Department.

    Further, in partial modification to earlier Containment Measures Orders, the permitted number of attendees is revised as follows:

    Funeral gatherings: Permitted upto a maximum number of 50 persons.

    Engagement/marriage ceremonies outside places of Worship: Permitted upto 1/3rd seating capacity but subject to a maximum number of 100 persons in spacious halls / open areas and 50 persons in private residences

    Individuals must maintain a minimum distance of 5 feet and strictly follow all COVID-19 related safety protocols.
