    Two including a three-year-old girl died while three others critically injured after a kerosene lamp burst at their residence in Chutwakhu Sarhen village under Saphai Out Post, West Jaintia Hills District.

    The incident took place on Friday at around 7.30 pm when an ordinary made kerosene naked lamp accidentally got burst in the kitchen of the house of Rapkmen Suiam at Chutwakhu Sarhen, Superintendent of Police West Jaintia Lakador Syiem said.

    Rapkmen Suiam (40) and her daughter Daiowbiang Suiam (3) succumbed to burn injuries while her husband Borsing Tyngkan and two other daughters Rime Suiam (15) and Meda Suiam (17) had been shifted to the hospital, SP said.

    While Tyngkan was admitted in the ICU of Nazareth hospital, Shillong, Rime and Meda are undergoing treatment in the Jowai civil hospital at Ialong.
