Meghalaya: 15 years old girl raped by two persons

Within few hours of temporary closure of Nongmynsong Police Outpost, Shillong, a heinous crime against one minor girl was committed by two accused but they were immediately apprehended by local people of the areas.

According to police sources, on the intervening night of Saturday/Sunday one 15 years old girl was allegedly raped by two accused in a locality under Nongmynsong Police Outpost.

The minor reported the matter to her neighbours and they promptly informed Nongmynsong Police Outpost but it was already under lock and key due to the visit of COVID-19 secondary contact to the said Outpost on Saturday’s evening. But they were apprehended by the local people and handed over to police personnel of Rynjah Police Station, Shillong.

The police informed that they are yet to receive an FIR in this matter till filling of this report.
