Meghalaya: 12 tests positive for COVID-19

Twelve more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 while thirteen others have recovered from the viral infection on Sunday.

Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said the 12 new cases include 10 from East Khasi Hills district, 1 West Jaintia Hills district and 1 Ri Bhoi district. 

Of the 13 patients who have recovered, he said 10 are from East Khasi Hills, 1 Ri Bhoi, 1 South West Garo Hills and 1 West Garo Hills. 

So far, the state has detected a total of 13,460 COVID-19 cases out of which 135 are active cases, 13,186 recovered and 139 deaths.

Of the total active cases, East Khasi Hills has 98 positive cases, West Garo Hills 15, Ri Bhoi 13, South West Garo Hills 2, East Garo Hills 1, West Khasi Hills 3, North Garo Hills 2.
