    The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District in a press release issued here informs the general public that the Megha Health Insurance Scheme is currently being implemented in convergence with the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and is currently in its 2nd Renewal Policy (2021-2022).  

    He also inform that the State Nodal Agency – Megha Health Insurance Scheme is implementing a focused registration drive which has already started from 22nd March, 2021 for four months, revisiting villages with low enrolment in order to further increase the registration of beneficiaries under the Scheme. The registration of beneficiaries will however continue throughout the year at identified District Kiosks and identified Hospital Registration Centres. Additionally, for beneficiaries who have not registered under the scheme and who do not have a card but are being treated at a hospital, the registration can be undertaken for such emergency cases where all hospitals have been informed of the system and procedures to be followed.

    The Deputy Commissioner also said that the registration/enrollment for beneficiaries of the District can be done at the Office of the District Medical and Health Officer, Khliehriat (District KIOSK). For any support relating to the scheme, the beneficiaries can contact the District Programme Manager-MHIS, East Jaintia Hills District Khliehriat at [email protected] or contact no.8974111634. The Office also has a Toll Free No. (24X7)-1800 102 4762 and Help Desk No. 0364-2507477(10:00 am- 5:00 pm) which can be contacted by all the beneficiaries and stakeholders for any queries.
