    The Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) has announced the provisional squads for the state’s U-19 men’s and women’s teams ahead of the 2025-26 BCCI domestic season.

    Based on the recommendations of its respective selection committees, 25 women and 30 men have been shortlisted after trial matches and performances in the last two BCCI seasons were taken into account.

    The U-19 women’s team will undergo its second round of selection matches from 15-19 September at Nongkhrah, Nongpoh, Ri-Bhoi, followed by a preparatory camp. The squad will feature in the U-19 Women’s T20 Trophy from 26 October and the U-19 Women’s One Day Trophy from 13 December.

    Women’s shortlisted players: Monica Singh, Cheanchi Kambesa Sangma, Chigesanora Marak, Jayshree Singh, Marme M Sangma, Adalyne F Lyngkhoi, Namesha A Marak, Beneros D Shira, Adelakmen Lawai, Joanna Pyngrope, Banchila Marak, Yoolang Suting, Eliza Lyngdoh, Dawanshisha Warlarpih, Rosabel Lyngkhoi, Isha Ray, Jennifer Fancon, Ronjoli Basumatary, Rafinia Ryntathiang, Steffinie Sohshang, Fennysha Nongrum, Shreya Marak, Julitha Marak, Dejianna M Sangma, Mendy Adrena Mawlong.

    Meanwhile, the Junior Men’s Selection Committee has shortlisted 30 players for the U-19 men’s side. Their second phase of selection will be held from 8-13 September at Jagiroad, Assam, followed by a preparatory camp.

    The men’s team will open their season with the Vinoo Mankad Trophy from 9 October, followed by the Cooch Behar Trophy from 16 November.

    Two players—Jarrett M Wanniang and Manthan Gupta—have been provisionally included, pending BCCI clearance on their rectified bowling actions.

    Men’s shortlisted players: Angkit Tamang, Rudra Singh Rathore, Jarrett M Wanniang, Yash Harlarka, Paisal Ali, Mewankitbok Kharpuri, Gaurav Jyoti Thakuria, Rohit Sharma, Grish Raj Ray, Apandanka R Marak, Gaurav Narleng, Dipayan Nandi, Namewanki Pakyntein, Sameer Choudhary, Bishesh Chettry, Damechwa Khongsngi, Jamesbirth Sangma, Aristo Marak, Ashish Kumar Lohar, Mannan Surana, Namgrik K Sangma, Aryan Kumar Rai, Heiyoomiki Ryngkhlem, Krishwal Marak, Abagtha Marak, Manthan Gupta, Benedict Jones Makdoh, Benhaden M Marak, Rimtora D Shira, Jeristo R Marak.
