BJP state president, Ernest Mawrie on Friday launched the ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ e-book which documents the work done by the party karyakartas in the state during the COVID-19 restrictions.

Speaking on the occasion, Mawrie said, “I feel nothing but satisfaction and pride. I hope our service inspires more and more people to serve more and more people.”

Stating that a lot has already been done, but this is not the end, he said the pandemic is ongoing, however the tireless efforts of the BJP karyakartas have not diminished or faltered in any manner.

He said the relief package announced by the central government during this pandemic has boosted the confidence of the party workers in providing relief.

“In fact such is the impact of the central government schemes that the people of Meghalaya, specially the villagers have popularized the distribution of rice as ‘khaw Modi’ or ‘Modi’s rice’,” Mawrie said.

The state president said it was on July 4, this year that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi held a review meeting of all the work done by the BJP karyakartas during the COVID pandemic.

In this meeting, Modi realized that the quantum of work done by BJP was not only praise worthy, but probably a world record of some sorts.

“He (Modi) proposed that we should systemactically record all the work done by us, so that it may become a point of reference for future generations who would draw inspiration from it. Modi ji sowed a dream into our head and hearts to present our work in the digital form. This e-book is a result of that dream,” Mawrie stated.

“We are a service organization and will continue to serve the people whatever way and capacity that we can in the future. This e-book will forever serve as an inspiration,” he added.
