    The Mawlai traffic branch has been temporarily closed on Tuesday, after a police official of the branch came in close contact with a COVID-19 patient.

    Assistant Inspector General of Police (A), GK Iangrai informed that the staffs of the traffic branch are currently under medical observation and the branch is being disinfected and sanitized as per protocols.

    He said that the branch will resume functioning only after being declared fit for re-occupation as per the laid down protocols.

    The AIGP also requested the public residing within the jurisdiction of the traffic branch to approach Lumdiengjri traffic branch for assistance in traffic related issues, whereas other matters relating to police station works can be reported at Mawlai Police Station which is functioning normally.
