    JOWAI: Marso Kyndait a resident of Sabah Muswang, West Jaiñtia Hills District and a BA 1st Year Student at Shillong College was the first in the State to be selected by the Athletics Federation of India to undergo Specialized and Intensive Coaching for the 1500 metres Junior boys which is to be held in Bhubaneswar, Odissa from the 25th July to 25th August , 2019.

    He is one of the promising and an outstanding athlete who have won 3 consecutive Gold Medals in the East Zone Junior Athletes and also in the 1st Northeast Olympic Games held in Manipur in the Senior Category. He is one of the athletes who may represent the State in the National Games 2022 and also a great aspect for the Country too.

    He has been awarded free education in 10+2 by North Liberty Higher Secondary, Jowai which is one of the school in the District who emphasise in giving platform for young aspiring athletes to take part in the District and the State level too.
