Manipur Guv meets VCs of Central and state varsities, assures all help in total implementation of NEP

Assam and Manipur Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya met the Vice Chancellors and Registrars of Central and state universities and discussed in detail about the status of full implementation of New Education Policy (NEP) in Manipur at a meeting held at Raj Bhavan in Imphal on Saturday.

In the meeting, the Governor besides taking stock of the implementation of NEP 2020 in Manipur, said that the VCs should act as a catalyst in implementing NEP fully to make education more experimental, holistic, integrated, inquiry driven, flexible and of course enjoyable.

Acharya also enquired about the issues pertaining to the strength of teaching and non-teaching staff and other developmental matters related to the institutions of higher education.  He also gave a presentation on the status of NEP implementation in the universities. Shri Acharya asked the VCs to go sincerely for the total implementation of the NEP 2020 and assured all help and cooperation to address any issue about NEP implementation and overall development of higher education in Manipur.

Vice Chancellor of Manipur University, N. Lokendra Singh, Vice Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University and Manipur Technical University, H. Gyan Prakash and Vice Chancellor of Manipur University of Culture, Paonam Gunindro Singh were present in the meeting.
