Manika Batra arrives in Shillong for Senior National TT C’ship

Preparations for the 83rd Senior National Table Tennis Championship continued apace with a meeting held today for the hotels that will be putting up the players and officials with regards to security and other matters.

Also, top women’s paddler Manika Batra has arrived in Shillong, as well as the contingents from Odisha, Jammu & Kashmir, Sikkim and a few players from Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Goa.

Batra is an Olympian, Asian Games bronze medallist and Commonwealth Games gold medallist. She won three gold and one silver in Shillong during the 2016 South Asian Games. 

The schedule for the opening day’s events will be released tomorrow.
