    As to ensure a packed hall during the celebration of the 53rd Meghalaya in West Jaintia Hills District, the Deputy Commissioner West Jaintia Hills on Monday directed that all District Officers, Subordinate Officers and staff for mandatory attendance in the Statehood Day Celebration on the 21 January, 2025 at District Library, Jowai at 2.00 PM.

    The order said the Statehood Day is an important occasion to honour the history, culture and achievements of the State.

    The Deputy Commissioner said, “Your presence is essential to ensure the success of this event and to show solidarity in celebrating this significant day. All are requested to be seated at 1.30 PM.”

    All officers are instructed to communicate this Order to their respective staff and ensure compliance. No unauthorized absence will be entertained and strict action will be taken in case of dereliction of duty, the order said.
