Poonam Singh, who has been rushed to the Civil Hospital, was asking her husband to get some groceries for their daughter before he stabbed her.
“…today morning I asked my husband to get some grocery for my daughter. He refused saying we did not have any money at that point I said “you have money to spend on the …Bala and get her house painted and you don’t have money for us”. The argument started and he stabbed me with a knife and kicked me and my thighs and also hurt my fingers. I started screaming and my daughter came and saw me bleeding. Then I informed the police and was brought to Civil Hospital,” Poonam said in her FIR.
