Malik appointed as new Meghalaya Governor

President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday appointed Satya Pal Malik as the Governor of Meghalaya. 

Malik is the incumbent Governor of Goa. He will be replacing Governor of Meghalaya Tathagata Roy.

A press communique issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan said the Satya Pal Malik, Governor of Goa is transferred and appointed as Governor of Meghalaya.

It said Bharat Sing Koshyari, Governor of Maharashtra to discharge the functions of the Governor of Goa in addition to his own duties.
