    The problem of damaged and unsafe bridge does not seem to end in Meghalaya as major potholes were detected on the bridge over Lakroh River located along Indo Bangladesh Border by the members of the JSU War Jaintia Circle and JSU Syndai Unit.

    This Bridge is vital as it connects West Jaintia Hills and East Jaintia Hills District via Muktapur to Borkhat and Rymbai to National Highway 6.

    Jaintia Students’ Union War Jaintia Circle president Eddy Kery Pohtam urged Executive Engineer PWD (Rds) South Jowai Division to immediately repair the bridge as it has become unsafe for vehicle to ply over the bridge.

    JSU also apprised the PWD that Amalokodo bridge located near Muktapur village also need for immediate repair as the wood in the bridge has rotten.
