    In suspected case of suicide, two love birds ended their lives in a fishing pond in Nangbah Village, West Jaintia Hills District on Thursday evening.

    Police said that at around 4 pm, they received information from Headman Nangbah village of a suspected suicide case by drowning and rushed to the spot for enquiry.

    Police informed two deceased Regardfull Susngi, 24 years from Nangbah Dukhu and Samphuhbha pala, 24 years from Moodymmai lumsalah village were reportedly in love with each other.

    Police said that due to unknown reason till filing of this report, the duo suspectedly plunged themselves in a local fishing pond and were drown and met their watery grave.

    Police said both the deceased have been identified by their relatives and necessary legal formalities will be taken up.
