    The District Magistrate, East Jaintia Hills District has decided to continued Lockdown in entire district till 5 Am of May 11.

    The order was issued on Sunday in order to safeguard from an uncontrollable surge in COVID -19 cases and to restricted movement of person and vehicles within the District except for medical purpose. Essential services and vaccination.

    Transit movement of persons from Assam/Tripura/Manipur/Mizoram shall be allowed.

    Government offices in the District shall function with limited staff not exceeding 30 % strength for Group ‘B’, Group ‘C’ and Group ‘D’ staffs.

    In-situ Construction works that does not involve movement of labour is permitted.

    Banks and post offices are permitted to open with limited staff.

    Only authorised home delivery services of essential goods is allowed with strict observance of the given protocols/advisories.

    MBOSE Examinations scheduled on 11th and 12th May 2021 is postponed until further orders.

    Areas of Khliehriat East & West, whole of Ladrymbai, Sookilo, Mynkre, Umpleng, Nongjri. Jalaphet market areas and Umkiang market shall remain close during the above period except medical shops.

    Roadsides dhabas/Tea shops services arc permitted only take away services.

    Standalone essential shops in localities having no could cases shall open to be regulated by the Waheh among concern with strict observance of could protocols of social distance, mask wearing. cough etiquette, hand washing, etc.
