The Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) has said that  the load shedding imposed in the entire State has not been withdrawn.

The news being circulated through social media etc, that load shedding has been lifted is not true, the MePDCL said in its notice issued on Friday.

The load shedding shall be withdrawn only when the water level in Umiam reservoir reaches a comfortable level, it added.

The MeECL being the Electricity generation and distribution Corporation of the HEAVIEST RAINFALL RECEIVING PLACE IN THE WORLD, Sadly, the POWER MINISTER ALONG WITH THE IAS, CEO & MANAGEMENT don’t have enough brain cells to see. This shows how POOR, INEFFICIENT and UNDER-DEVELOPED the State Meghalaya is because they can’t afford the current Technology to take advantage of the natural resources… like again, BEING THE WORLD HEAVIEST RAINFALL RECEIVING STATE FOR DECADES. What a SHAME TO A POWER MINISTER AND HIS GOVERNMENT 😔😔😔😔😔

PEOPLE WHO HAVE ELECTED THIS NPP GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT UTTER A WORD OF COMPLAIN. ITS SUCH A GREAT SHAME THAT EVEN IN RAINY SEASON WE HAVE TO FACE LOAD SHEDDING IN A STATE FULL OF RAIN.. EVERYONE SHOULD TAKE INTO ACCOUNT FOR THE NEXT 2 UPCOMING ELECTIONS NOT TO VOTE FOR SUCH A LOGGERHEADED GOVERNMENT
