The Khasi Students Union (KSU) has asked the Meghalaya Nursing Council (MNC) to consider granting license for nursing students on production of downloaded mark-sheets.

In a letter to the Registrar of the MNC on Wednesday, KSU-Education Cell Chairman, Raymond Kharjana said that students who have recently passed out from their respective institutions outside the state could not apply for license as they are unable to travel to procure their original mark-sheet due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and also because the institutes are yet to reopen.

He said this has severely hamper their careers as they are at halt and unable to proceed anywhere for no fault of theirs.

“(We) request you to allow the students who are seeking for license to be able to apply after they have produced their downloaded mark-sheet and after it has been duly verified so that their careers would not be at stake,” Kharjana said in the letter.
