KSU issues warning after detecting illegal traders in Shella market

The Shella Unit of the Khasi Students Union (KSU) has warned to take stern action against illegal traders from carrying out any businesses at Hat Shella in East Khasi Hills district.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, publicity secretary of the KSU-Shella Unit, Silas Ora said based on information received, members of the union led by the general secretary, Ferrybert Dolloi immediately visited the market and found that many illegal traders have started carrying out trades without any proper documents (obtained from the concerned authority).

“All such illegal traders were immediately asked to stop their activities in the market and at the same issued a strict warning against such illegal activities,” Ora said.

He further informed that the Union has decided to intensify checking against illegal trade activities within the jurisdiction of the village.
