    The Khasi Students Union (KSU) Malki Circle on Monday apprehended five persons for allegedly violating the total lockdown imposed by the East Khasi Hills district administration.

    According to a statement issued here, the five persons were caught roaming at Malki forest with their scooties. They claimed to have obtained vehicle passes.

    The five persons have been identified as Arman Singh, Ravi Thapa, Jitu Mariam, Aman Valmiki and Riyansh Ray, all from Lachumiere.

    Later, all the apprehended persons were handed over to the police for necessary action.
