Knerlang Phawa and Phyrnai Kyndait win National Voters’ Day marathon in Khliehriat

Knerlang Phawa and Phyrnai Kyndait emerged as the champions in the Open Marathon held in East Jaintia Hills District, organized in celebration of National Voters’ Day.

The marathon route extended from the New Deputy Commissioner’s Office to Rymbai and back.

Additional Deputy Commissioner SR Marak flagged off the marathon in the presence of other district officials. The 10 Km run saw enthusiastic participation, especially from the youth.

Alongside Knerlang Phawa in the Male Category, Bismo Sumer secured second place, and Rishan Meki Ryngkhlem came in third. In the Female Category, Phyrnai Kyndait was followed by Rosy Sana in second place and Wasaki Phawa in third.

The top winners were awarded cash prizes: Rs 5000/- for the First Prize, Rs 3000/- for the Second Prize, and Rs 1500/- for the Third Prize.
