KHNAM accuses Shah of only being interested to expand BJP’s political interest

The Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) on Monday accused the Union Home Minister Amit Shah of visiting the state to only expand his party’s political interest and its hidden & ulterior motive.

In a statement, president of the KHNAM state youth wing Glenbirth Khongwir said that the recent visit of the Union Home Minister of India only brought about anger, nuisance and humiliation to the people of the State.

He said time and again the cry for speedy implementation of Inner Line Permit have been sidelined by Shah adding despite the demand for inclusion of the Khasi Language under 8th Schedule, this too, has been sidelined.

“His (Shah) visit clearly shows that he only wants to expand the political interest of the party and its hidden & ulterior motive,” Khongwir added.
