    The District Magistrate, North Garo Hills district under section 144 CrPc and Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 has declared Kharkutta Bazaar as containment zone after 13 people tested positive for Covid-19.

    The entire Kharkutta Bazaar under North Garo Hills district has been declared a containment zone for 3 days with effect from 5 pm of 18th May till 6 am of 21st May.

    While enabling the medical team to conduct contact tracing of persons who might have come into contact with those who have been tested covid-19 positive, all inhabitants inside the containment zone shall strictly remain inside their house.

    No gatherings, events, functions whatever of any form shall be allowed. All shops within Kharkutta Bazaar shall be closed immediately.

    During the containment period, no one, except medical team, magistrates, police and govt. Employees on official duty shall be allowed to enter the containment zone.
