KHADC announces financial support to community quarantine centres

Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has decided to provide financial assistance to the various community quarantine centres arranged by the traditional dorbar shnongs for returnees coming from outside the state.

Annoucing this decision on Monday, KHADC chief Titosstarwell Chyne told reporters that the executive committee which met on May 22, has felt it necessary to provide support to such community quarantine centres within the jurisdiction of the Council.  

Chyne requested the concerned headmen to submit their recommendation through the local MDC for availing the financial assistance from the district council on or before May 30.

Asked, the CEM said the amount will depend on the number of persons staying in such quarantine centres.
