Kabir arrested in East Jaintia Hills for possession of heroin

Meghalaya Police arrested Kabir Uddin Mazumder for the possession of 160.36 grams of heroin in East Jaintia Hills District on July 2, 2025.

Police said that the arrest was made during naka checking at Umtyra, East Jaintia Hills District while they conducted checking of vehicle number ML04 B 9703 driven by Kabir and recovered 14 soap boxes containing heroin.

Police said they have registered a case under NDPS Act against Kabir and investigation is underway.
