JSU serves one-month ultimatum to DSC-WJH for holding of examination for vacant posts advertised since 2021

The Jaintia Students’ Union (JSU) on Thursday issued a one-month deadline for the District Selection Committee (DSC), West Jaintia Hills to conduct examinations for the vacant posts advertised four years ago.
A statement issued by JSU said that it had recently held a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner of West Jaintia Hills District in regards to the prolonged delay in conducting recruitment exams for posts advertised since 19th November 2021. It was revealed that 92 vacant positions remain unfilled across various departments under the District Selection Committee.
During the meeting, the JSU strongly warned the Deputy Commissioner that failure to conduct the examinations within the specified one-month period would compel the Union to initiate agitation and protest demonstrations against the continued delay.
The JSU also urged the Deputy Commissioner to promptly advertise all remaining vacant posts across departments. The Union emphasized that timely recruitment would not only create employment opportunities for the youth but would also contribute significantly to the overall development of the West Jaintia Hills District.
