JSU seek minister’s intervention for repairing of PHE road
The Jaintia Students Union (JSU) on Thursday met PHE minister Marcuise N Marak and requested his intervention for immediate repairing of the dilapidated road from Khimusniang to PHE water treatment plant in Jowai, West Jaintia Hills district.
In a memorandum, the JSU said that the road has been left without repairing for over a decade and this has to a great extent affected the residents of the area.
It added that the Executive Engineer of the PHE office has already submitted a revised estimate for the repair of this road project. However, there has been no visible progress till date.
“We therefore request your intervention to approve and expedite the necessary work,” the union said.
