JSU demands rescheduling of exams for gram sevak, gram sevika in WJH

The Jaintia Students Union (JSU) has requested the district administration of West Jaintia Hills to reschedule the examination for the posts of Gram Sevak Male supervisor and Gram Sevika (female only) to a later date.
In a letter to the deputy commissioner, the JSU said the examination for said posts have been scheduled for September 13. However, this coincides with the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination for the post of Junior Cooperative Officer under the Cooperation department & Soil & Water Conservation Ranger (Overseer/Draughtsman-I).
“This overlap in schedulign has caused great concern among many aspirants, as it prevents candidates from being able to appear for both important examinations especially all those being eligible for both the posts and due to the date clash there is risk of missing out on one opportunity despite the preparation and eligibility of the aspirants,” it said.
“We request your kind consideration to reschedule the examination to a later date, so that aspirants may attend both examinations without confusion, panic, or the burden of having to choose between two crucial career opportunities,” the JSU stated in the letter.
