    The Jaintia Students Union on Thursday demanded the reviving of the Examination Centre in Jowai Town for job examination conducted by the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC).

    In a letter to Meghalaya Law Minister Ampareen M Lyngdoh, the Jaintia Students’ Union Central Body informed the MPSC examination centre in Jowai was unfortunately closed without any valid reason.

    They also said that the closure of the said Examination Centre upsets people of Jaintia Hills region especially MPSC aspirants of Jaintia Hills

    In the interest of the job aspirants from Jaintia Hills, the JSU called for the immediate re-opening of MPSC examination centre in Jowai so that it will more accessible and convenient for job applicants in the region.

    They also asserted that it would reduce travel expenses and save time for candidates who otherwise have to travel to the capital city for the exam.
