    JOWAI: The West Jaintia hills police department has lauded the noble contribution of the Jowai’s Childline in helping them in the recent child trafficking case.

    According to SP Lakador Syiem, the childline has been very helpful to the police in assisting us during the rescue of the minor girls .

    He said that Dennis Kurkalang of Childline along with his team member has always been pro active and does not hesitate to assist the District Police whenever cases where children are involved.

    Appreciating support and active cooperation of Kurkalang and his team, the West Jaintia Hills – District Executive Force presented a certificate of appreciation and reward for their efforts.

    It was handed by the Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills District in the presence of Bijay Chettri, MPS, Additional Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills District and WPSI I. Kharpran, OC Women PS, Jowai.
