    The Office of the District Social Welfare Officer, in collaboration with the District Administration and the District Sports Officer, West Jaintia Hills, will organise a “Run Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” on June 26, 2025. The event is being held to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking and as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

    The run, open to both men and women (open category), will begin at 6:00 am from the main gate of Kiang Nangbah Stadium. The route includes Ladthadlaboh Main Road, Jowai Public School, Polytechnic Gate, Kshaid Rymphum, Salaroh, Dulong Poh-hali Road, Tpep-Pale, Wahnangbah Road, New Hill, and will conclude at the Kiang Nangbah Indoor Stadium.

    Spot registration will take place at the indoor stadium at 5:30 am sharp on the day of the event. The organisers have invited residents of West Jaintia Hills to participate in the run. Winners will receive cash prizes and mementoes.
