    The Shiv Mandir Committee, Jowai has extended their support to help the poor and needy people by distributing essential commodities in many villages in West Jaintia Hills on Saturday.

    1300 packets of food grains containing Rice, Dal, salt, sugar, tea, oil, potato etc distributed to families of various localities of Jowai Town and villages to combat the pandemic COVID-19.

    Villages which food was distributed includes Iongnoh, Khliehtyrshi, Sohmynting, Thangbuli, Moopyut, Umladkhur, Moosakhia, Samanong, Skhenpyrsit, Skhentalang, Muktapur, Lad Pysih, Hynniawmer, Pysih, Mupliang, Nongbah, Mihmyntdu and Myrjai village.

    The distribution of food packets was led by Shiv Mandir Committee President Santosh Kumar Jain, the faithful comprising Hari Singh, Ram Ekbal Singh, Rajeev Singh, Bhola Singh, Ashutosh Singh, Gurucharan Puniya, Shyam Sharma, Jaynarayan Pareek, Dheeraj Kumar Shah, Prince Singh ,Pramod Kumar Jain ,Haradhan, Fatik Paul.
