    In view of the ensuing Lok Sabha election the District Administrations of two bordering districts held a joint meeting for building up rapport and effective coordination amongst themselves.

    The joint meeting was held between Garod LSN Dykes DC and Bikram D Marak SP of West Khasi Hills District, Meghalaya and DC Smt. Keerthi Jalli, IAS and SP Ranjan Bhuyan, APS of Kamrup District, Assam at Boko on Friday.

    The meeting discussed various issues of border matters & security during movement of Election materials and polling Personnel, joint checking on movement of illegal liquor from both sides

    The meeting discussed for peaceful conduct of Elections in border areas of concerned and for joint management of process & maintenance of peace.

    The meeting decided to maintain peace and tranquility besides sharing of inputs specially in border areas during the process of upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024.
