JHADC constitutes delimitation committee, sets one-month deadline

The Executive Committee, Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council has constituted the Delimitation Committee for examining the delimitation of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council Constituencies and to conduct a public hearing for this purpose.

The Notification issued on Wednesday said that “In pursuance of the Government of Meghalaya District Council Affairs Department letter No. DCA.22/2013/225, dt.20.11.2023, the Executive Committee, Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council, Jowai is pleased to constitute the Delimitation Committee for examining the delimitation of the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council Constituencies and to conduct a public hearing for this purpose”

The Member of the Committee include Dr. Dakyntuhimi Lyngdoh, Asst. Professor as the Chairman, Luckystar Ymbon, Advocate as Member Secretary. The other members are Markos Surong, Advocate, Kerlang Ksoo, Advocate and Pyrkhat Shylla, Waheh Shnong Mookyrdup.

The Committee shall submit its report to the Executive Committee within a period of one month.
