Jetski facility introduced in South West Garo Hills to promote tourism

In a bid to promote tourism with new attractions for the people of Garo Hills, Mahendraganj MLA Sanjay A Sangma on Thursday introduced a Jetski Model Sea-Doo Spark at his private pond in Kalaichar, Boldamgre, South West Garo Hills.

The introduction of a jetski bike in this remote area is being seen as a step toward boosting local tourism by offering people an opportunity to experience water adventure sports closer to home.

During the launch, marine jetski technician Johnson Victor from Navnit Marine Company, Mumbai, showcased his expertise with thrilling demonstrations that drew cheers and excitement from the gathered crowd.

The MLA himself took to the watercraft, riding it at full throttle, before being joined by District School Education Officer Emphul Ch Marak.

While the pond is still under development and not ready for commercial use, Sangma assured that once completed, it will be opened to watersports enthusiasts and visitors. The site is expected to feature the jetski along with additional facilities, providing a fresh recreational option for both locals and tourists in the Garo Hills.
