    The state government has permitted the inter district movement from September 1. However, the government stated that movement of commercial vehicles into East Khasi Hills District shall be regulated by the Deputy Commissioner.

    As per the order issued by Chief Secretary MS Rao on Friday said that restaurants and bars will be allowed to reopen at maximum 50 percent strength subject to compliance with the SoP to be issued by the respective Deputy Commissioners.

    Central government offices and state government offices, banks and post offices may function at 100 percent strength and shall close at 5 pm daily.

    All permissions are subject to strict observance of COVID-related protocols, the order said.
