Indore tourist murder case: SIT recovers jewellery of Sonam, Raja from a flat in Madhya Pradesh

In a significant breakthrough, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Sunday recovered jewellery belonging to Sonam and the late Raja Raghuvanshi from a flat in Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh.
The SIT, led by SI Anthony Khongsit and SI Karan Pachua, was assisted by officers and men from Alkapuri Police Station, East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem said in a statement.
During the operation, the team also seized a laptop, pendrive, and incriminating papers from the flat of Shilom James, he informed while adding that the recovered items are believed to be crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation.
On June 26, a local court had remanded Shilom James and two other persons, arrested for destruction of crucial evidence related to the murder of an Indore businessman, Raja Raghuvanshi, at Sohra, to six days police custody.

Shilome James is a property dealer who rented out a flat to Vishal Singh Chauhan, one of the main accused in the case.
The other two arrested persons included – Lokendra Singh Tomar, a resident of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, and landlord of a flat at Dewas Naka where Sonam Raghuvanshi, the prime accused in the murder case, had taken shelter while hiding in Indore, and Balia Ahirwar, a security guard posted at the apartment complex where the flat owned by Shilome James is located.
Tomar was arrested last week for destruction and concealment of vital evidence.
