    JOWAI: The subsidiary pillar which was installed as supplementary markers of the original border pillar to demarcate the India-Bangladesh Border at Hawai Bhoi village in West Jaiñtia Hills, has been tampered by unknown persons.

    The boundary pillar has the original number – 1292/6 S PAK, however recently, the number was changed to 1292/ 6 S BD. A freshly added cement plaster was also seen at the pillar. The tampering was detected by local farmers of the village.
