    In continuation of efforts to fight the menace of illegal coal transporting, since yesterday 23 trucks have been seized by East Jaintia Hills District Police and 4 different cases under relevant provisions of law have been registered at Lumshnong Police Station.

    Police detected 12 trucks at Kuliang on Tuesday while 9 trucks were detected at Lumshnong, and 2 trucks were detected at Sonapur-Umkiang for illegally transporting coal on Wednesday, Assistant Inspector General of Police (A) GK Iangrai said here.
