    Due to the recent detection of positive COVID-19 cases/high risk contacts within the ICDP Farm 6th Mile falling under 5th Mile Village, the district magistrate has declared the farm as a Containment zone on Saturday.

    The areas that have been sealed include the Administrative Unit, Bull Farm Unit, Central Semen Bank Unit, Artificial Training Centre and Pig Farm Unit within the Office of the Assistant Director of ICDP Farm under 5th Mile Village, Upper Shillong.

    The Cattle Farm under the Office of the Deputy Director, Indo-Danish Project has been excluded from the containment order.

    The order restrict unregulated entry and exit in the affected areas which requires contact tracing, testing and isolation to be effected in the interest of health of general public to prevent against any possible spread of COVID-19.

    In another order, the district magistrate has also declared more houses as a micro containment zone.

    The new micro containment are namely:

    The house of Shri P.S. Kharsyntiew (Top Floor) Madan Neng, Madan Laban.
    Top floor of the house of Mrs Isabella Dhar, Hattak Colony, Oxford Hills, Near Angel Guest House,
    In the Apartment of Mrs. Jharna Paul, tenant of Chinmoy Paul, Near Sankardev Women’s Hostel, Rilbong.
    Apartment of Mr. Depankar Paul in the building of Mr. L.Khongshei, Rilbong near Dew Drop Guest House.
    House of Shri Michel Marwein, Lawsohtun Block-3.
    Residences of Libialin Kharmudai at Khliehshnong, Malki, Ainuddin Sheikh at Dhankheti, Malki, Kwadalin Kharbani at Nongpyngrope, Malki, Dr. R. Pariat at Chinapatty, Malki.
    First floor of the house of James D. Marbaniang at Jaiaw Lumbatemon.
    Purnivasi compound at Pdengshnong, Golflink.
    Swer Compound at Khliehshnong, Golflink.
    Houses of Smti Brina Mawrie, Smti Adeline Kharkongor, Smti Baiamonlang Khongwir and Passon Marbaniang at Pohktieh.
    House of Smti June Dkhar in Lawjynriew, Rngi Neng.

    The house of Kong Sholinda Dkhar, house No. RN 035 and top floor of the ‘Karmakar Eternity’ House no 32, Ward no 24, Ripple Side towards Last Stop is still retained as a micro containment area. 

    Further, the district magistrate has also lifted the containment order of the ground floor of the building of Smti G. Pyngrope, Amjad Ali Road, Opposite City Guest House, Laban and building of Shri S. Das (1st floor), opposite SBI ATM, Laban Last Stop, in the house of Mrs. C. Syiem, Clarin Cottage, Dunhill Road, Harisabha, Laban, top floor of the building of (Late) Deepak Dutta, Bishnupur Inverneil Opposite the Gate of Circuit House, Apartment of Kumari Thapa, tenant of Amila Sawkmie, Oxford Hills, Rilbong, house of Smt. Melinda Syiemlieh at Lumdiengsoh and the house of Smti Bioi Talang at Lawjynriew Lumbhalang and House of Shri P. Onyton Lyngdoh at Lawjynriew, Rngi Neng.
