Ialong village in West Jaintia Hills declared micro containment, after COVID-19 positive cases

The District Magistrate, West Jaintia Hills on Thursday has declared a village Nongthymmai Ialong situated on the outskirts of Jowai as micro containment zone after the detection of positive COVID-19 cases.

The order issued restrict unregulated entry exit in the affected areas from midnight of 1st October, 2020 until further order.

“The affected areas require aggressive contact tracing, quarantine testing and isolation as well as containment in the interest of health of general public against any possible spread of COVID-19,” the order said.
