HYC stages protest over VC’s apathy for not discussing the National Education Policy

The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) held a silent protest holding placards in front of the office of the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Vice-Chancellor on Thursday asserting that the VC has not called a meeting of the academic council or call the stakeholders to discuss the implementation of National Education Policy 2020.

In a statement issued here, the HYC education secretary Enlang Sawian said that the vice-chancellor has not invited the teachers who opposed the implementation of NEP syllabus for discussion.

The organization claimed that the apathy of the VC to discuss the matter will land the students in trouble.

It may be mentioned that the college teachers have maintained that no decision was taken to implement NEP 2020.
