The Hynniewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) on Sunday slammed the Coordination and Welfare Committee for wrongly painting a communal color on the sparodic criminal incident relating to the murder of 2 persons in Ichamati.

In a statement, HNYF president Sadon Blah said, “While the police are investigating the matter how can the Coordination and Welfare Committee jump to the conclusion by connecting the KSU with the murder of Esan Singh and Sujit Dutta.”

“This as the HNYF we feel that is an attempt by them to create communal tension and disharmony which we will not tolerate,” he added.

Furthermore, Blah also castigate the Meghalaya Linguistic Minority Forum for adding fuel to the fire by publicly declaring to organise a protest against the murder of the duo, which in line with the CWC are playing a role of communalism any sparodic criminal incidences.

“Hence, the HNYF will strongly oppose any attempt by such groups to flare up a communal tension in the State by creating an unnecessary communal ruckus to which the khasi community have remained calm and composed against the murder of our people be it at the border ,shot by the BSF or the mob lynching of ( L) Lurshai Hynniewta,” he said.
