  • High Court of Meghalaya’s hosts Pension Lok Adalat settled 83 Cases Out of 276

     The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA) organized the Pension Lok Adalat at the High Court of Meghalaya, Shillong on Saturday.

    The Pension Lok Adalat was held under the patronage of Justice Sanjib Banerjee, Chief Justice, High Court of Meghalaya & Patron-In-Chief, MSLSA and under the supervision & guidance of Justice HS Thangkhiew, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya & Executive Chairman, MSLSA along with E Kharumnuid, MHJS, Registrar General, High Court of Meghalaya & Member Secretary, MSLSA.

    The programme was attended by Justice W Diengdoh, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya & Chairman, HCLSC. The Presiding Officers during the Pension Lok Adalat were the Chief Judicial Magistrates-cum-Secretaries, District Legal Services Authority, Shillong, Jowai, Nongpoh, Nongstoin, Mawkyrwat along with Judicial Magistrates First Class, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong. Serving as Conciliators were the Treasury Officers, Officers of the MFS and Retired Finance Service Officers. Others present were TTM Sangma, MJS, Officer on Special Duty, MSLSA, S Lyngdoh, Assistant Secretary, MSLSA and staff of the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority. 

    During the Pension Lok Adalat, DDOs from various Government Departments and pensioners/claimants came to settle their pending pension matters and a total of 83 cases only have been settled out of 276 cases taken up in the Pension Lok Adalat.
