Heroin concealed in chassis seized

Though it could be termed as an ingenious ideas of concealing drugs in an unsuspected portion of the vehicles but the hard work of the drugs suppliers ended in vain as East Jaintia Hills police outwitted them.

On Tuesday, East Jaintia Hills police seized 500 gm of heroin which was concealed in the Chasis of a Mahindra Bolero vehicle at Ladrymbai.

The drugs originated from Manipur and three persons were arrested.

Meanwhile, in his tweet Home Minister Lakmen said Meghalaya police
always on alert to eradicate the drug trafficking in the states & the country in coordination with other agencies.
