Hek tight lipped on nephew’s decision to contest against him

BJP leader and former cabinet minister Alexander Laloo Hek was tight lipped on the decision of his nephew Rocky Hek to contest against him from Pynthorumkhrah constituency next year.

Speaking to reporters, Hek said, “This is a family matter I don’t want to say anything. I am told by our family and our clan not to speak anything outside.”

The sitting legislator also assured that the matter will be resolved within the family only.

On May 14, Rocky tendered his resignation as the general secretary of the BJP Shillong city district.

He  had unsuccessfully contested the 2019 MDC elections from North Shillong.
