    Former minister and BJP leader, A L Hek on Monday sought the intervention of central ministers to evacuate citizens of Meghalaya, who are stranded in Ukraine.

    Hek met  Union minister of state MEA, V Muraleedharan and Union law minister, Kiren Rijiju in New Delhi.

    He urged both the ministers to take all possible measures to evacuate stranded citizens of Meghalaya at the earliest.

    According to sources, over 35 to 37 citizens from Meghalaya are in the Russian invasion-hit Ukraine.
