The Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Amlarem Civil Sub-Division has promulgated an order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting plying of heavy vehicles in excess of 9 tonnes through bridges between Dawki-Muktapur road.

The order is necessitated in view of the notice received that a number of heavily loaded vehicles are plying between Dawki-Muktapur road. Considering the precarious condition of a number of bridges lying in the road, the plying of heavy vehicles will further deteriorate the condition of the bridges, endanger the lives of the citizens who commute through the bridges, create traffic jam on the narrow road, cause obstruction and annoyance to the general public and may result in disturbance of the public peace and tranquility unless immediately prevented.

This Order come into force with immediate effect until further orders.
